The Book of Dimma is an illuminated manuscript made in the holy site of Roscrea in the 8th Century. In the 12th C. an elaborate book shrine was made to house it safely.
Ballycommon Craft Group, with ETB tutor Lian Callaghan, have used the Book of Dimma as inspiration for the textile wall hangings and 3D pieces seen here.
