Eleanor Hooker Siobhan MacGowan & Sean O’Connor with music by songwriter Colin Kenny
Join us for a special event in Nenagh tourist office with poets Eleanor Hooker, & Sean O’Connor & novelist Siobhan McGowan featuring music by songwriter Colin Kenny. Eleanor Hooker is a former director of the festival and has published four collections of poetry. Sean O’Connor is the founder and editor of The Haibun Journal and has been widely published and anthologized. He was awarded Literature Bursaries by the Arts Council of Ireland in 2021 and 2022.His sixth book, A Patch of Earth, will be published this autumn 2023. Siobhan McGowan has written two compelling historical novels The Trial of Lotta Rae and The Graces which has been described by The Irish Independent as ‘A stylish, evocative novel from a born storyteller‘. Colin Kenny is An Award winning Irish Country Singer/Songwriter, Midlands born Colin now works & resides in North Tipperary. He has performed all over Ireland and in the UK. Colin debut album, “Annie” has gone down very well with its listeners and it songs feature often on TV & National Radio. A song written be Colin, ‘Will you Dance with me Annie’, will feature on Daniel O’Donnell’s up coming Album “How Lucky I Must Be” in Autumn 2023.
