‘Celtic Mythical Creatures’ Book Launch – Wednesday 2nd October, 5pm – 6pm – No Booking Required
Nenagh Arts Centre is delighted to present in conjunction with Dromineer & Nenagh Literary Festival the launch of ‘Celtic Mythical Creatures’. This book is the culmination of many months work between Nenagh Arts Centre and local writer Nigel Quinlan as part of the Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival schools outreach programme.
Nigel visited the C.B.S. Primary Nenagh, Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan, St Mary’s Convent Primary School and St Mary’s No 2 National School for a number of writing workshops, with the results being this book of short stories and poems by the students . The cover illustration is design is by local Romanian artist Carine Arnakis, who was inspired by the children’s stories to create a beautiful work of art.
The workshops and book were made possible by the support from The Arts Council, Creative Ireland and Tipperary County Council.
