
Biodiversity Talk with Éanna Ní Lamhna, Dromineer Quay, Sunday October 12th, 10:30am, €15
This years Dromineer Nenagh Literary Festival talk/ cruise on the Ku-ee -tu will be presented by nature writer Éanna Ní Lamhna. She’ll talk about her recent The Great Irish Biodiversity Book. Join Éanna as she takes us on a trip through Irish wildlife habitats – from bogs to beaches and woodland to grassland. Discover how habitats work and which creatures and plants to look out for in each one, from the very rare to the most common.
Éanna Ní Lamhna is a well-known biologist, environmental and wildlife consultant, radio and television presenter, author and educator. She served as president of the national environmental charity An Taisce for five years and has recently completed her second term as president of the Tree Council of Ireland. Originally from Louth, she now lives in Dublin and is the author of several popular wildlife books.
Éanna will be in conversation with Darragh Wynne.
Darragh Wynne is a director on the board of Green Foundation Ireland, a registered charity which aims to create an ecologically literate Ireland through hosting seminars, workshops and conferences which demonstrate how practical action can bring about positive change towards sustainability.
He is the founder and co-host of the Climate Alarm Clock podcast, an Irish news podcast which has been running since 2021.Darragh currently works in the Sustainability Department in Technological University of the Shannon and has previously worked for GOAL Global, as a part-time lecturer in Global Citizenship in DCU and on the Project Team for the Children’s And Young People’s Assembly on Biodiversity Loss in 2022.
