Nenagh Youth Theatre is back!
We’re delighted to return to Nenagh Arts Centre for another exciting year of creating, exploring, and performing theatre with local young people.
This year we’ll be running two Saturday programmes:
🎭 NYT Players: 10:00am – 12:00pm
The Players programme is designed for young people who want to explore all aspects of theatre in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment. Throughout the year, participants will develop their acting, performance, and theatre-making skills through games, workshops, and creative projects. During the second term, the group will work with a guest director to rehearse and stage a full production.
🎭 NYT Explorers: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
The Explorers programme will focus on producing a full-length production of John Morton’s *Don’t Shoot the Messenger. Participants will work together to develop their acting, movement, ensemble, and performance skills while rehearsing and presenting the production.
Registration for current members will open 4-14th August. Please complete your registration as early as possible. Places for existing members can only be held until 14th August. After this date, any remaining places will be offered to the general public, and we cannot guarantee availability. Members who register will be considered for both programmes; however if either time slot doesn’t work please email us at nyt@nenagharts.com
We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to take part in Nenagh Youth Theatre. If the registration fee is a concern, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We can arrange flexible payment plans, and a number of bursaries are available for members who need support.
