The Role
Assistant Youth Theatre Facilitator

Nenagh Arts Centre is currently recruiting an Assistant Youth Theatre Facilitator
to work alongside our Youth Theatre Facilitator to design and deliver a fun and creative environment to support young people with their social, personal and artistic development in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

Meeting weekly on Saturdays, workshops can include acting, writing, improvisation, physical theatre and devising, we encourage participation by making it accessible to all young people between 13-17 years.

Terms of Contract

4 hours assistant facilitation and 1 hour administration per week, 10 weeks per term (two terms per annum) September to November and January to March, subject to funding. Rate is €35/per hour facilitation, €35/per hour administration. Please note that additional hours may be needed dependent on project funding.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience working in a theatre, arts or community youth focused environment
• Knowledge and understanding of best practice in relation to child protection
• Experience in designing and developing drama workshops
• Passion for the development of Youth Arts in Nenagh & Tipperary
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in theatere or drama setting.

• A relevant qualification or background in Theatre, Youth Arts, Youth Work

Join us as a Marketing and Administration Officer

Nenagh Arts Centre is seeking a Marketing & Administration Officer, comprising a three-day week, working with the artistic director, having primary responsibility for the day-to-day marketing of Nenagh Arts Centre along with administration for our Children’s Film Festival, Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival, Nenagh Youth Theatre, and our Outreach Artists.

Person Specification Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Team working experience including the ability to work collaboratively with creative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns for shows and events including managing
    print distribution, direct mailing, and advertising.
  • Maintain and update the Nenagh Arts Centre website.
  • Oversee social media accounts & e-newsletter.
  • Update and manage the online ticket/box office systems.
  • Support the Artistic Director to implement creative marketing campaigns.
  • Administration for Nenagh Youth Theatre, Children’s Film Festival, Spleodar
    Halloween Arts Festival & Outreach Artists.
