Join us for a special event in Nenagh tourist office with poets Eleanor Hooker, & Sean O’Connor & novelist Siobhan McGowan featuring music from songwriter Colin Kenny.

The festival is delighted to welcome Emma Donoghue for the first time. Her new novel, Learned By Heart is the breath-taking story of two young girls on the margins of life, forging a connection that will last forever.

Vona Groarke & Kit De Waal in conversation with Paula Shields. In this event the two writers will discuss the overlaps, similarities and distinctions between form, content and style in their writing of fiction, poetry, memoir and essays.

This year’s ever popular school’s poetry competition will be judged by poet Eileen Sheehan. Eileen looks forward to seeing all the entries and enjoys the wonderful poetry written by 3rd to 6th class students in Primary schools in the Nenagh area.
