Composer and producer Caomhan Maccana (Maccana) brings his debut national tour The Unseen Growth of Winter to Nenagh Arts Centre.
Working across drama, documentary and live performance, Maccana has built a distinctive body of work over the past two decades, collaborating on productions for the BBC, RTÉ and Newstalk, and receiving recognition at the Celtic Media Festival in 2025.
This 75-minute programme of original piano compositions features pieces such as The Rising, Athru, Ven a Mexico and Mo Thonnta, alongside the premiere of new work developed during an artistic residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. Among these is Iolar na hEargaile (Eagle of Errigal), written in memory of Moya Brennan.
Drawing on influences from Ireland and beyond – including collaborations in Mexico with the historic Conservatorio de las Rosas – this performance offers a reflective and immersive live music experience.
An evocative evening of contemporary piano music, rich in atmosphere and storytelling.
