Women’s Shed Stories is a mixed-media exhibition celebrating identity, creativity and community through the voices and experiences of the Ballymackey Women’s Shed group.

Through portrait photography, textiles and collaborative artwork, the exhibition explores the many stories, talents and connections that make up this thriving rural community group. Developed over the past two years, Ballymackey Women’s Shed has become an important social and creative space, offering local women opportunities to connect, share experiences and develop new skills in a supportive environment.

Created in collaboration with artist and teacher Shannen Slattery, the exhibition reflects themes of empowerment, belonging and self-expression, while highlighting the diversity and creativity of the group’s members.

Warm, personal and community-focused, Women’s Shed Stories invites visitors to engage with the legacy, resilience and artistic spirit of the women involved.
