Embroidery Hoop Art, Monday August 11th – Friday August 15th, 10:30am – 12:45pm, €120 per child
Join mixed-media artist Ellie Cullen for a fun and creative 5-day embroidery workshop designed especially for children! No previous embroidery experience is needed – just a love for art and imagination.
This workshop aims to introduce children to textile art through the process of designing and completing an embroidered artwork, using the embroidery hoop as a frame. The children will make all creative decisions themselves, from initial design to choice of fabric, hoop size, and thread colours.
Emphasis will be placed on the process rather than the final output and the aesthetic quality of the work produced. With that being said, by the end of this workshop, Ellie aims for her students to have completed a unique artwork, which they can bring home and hang on their wall.
The intricacy of the works will vary per age and ability.
