Screen Printing, Monthly printmaking workshop with Mná na nEalain, Thursday, 22nd August, 2 – 4pm, FREE
Join artists and members of Mná na nEalaín Collective Carol Kennedy & Rennie Buenting for an
enthralling workshop exploring screen printing as part of the collectives year long collaborative project
“Unheard Voices”. Taking inspiration from feminist protest posters from 1974 – 1990 participants will
create and collaborate to create a series of works taking inspiration from posters of particular interest
to them.
Screen printing is a printing technique where a design is transferred on to a surface through a mesh
screen. The screens will be pre-prepared with a series of images which can be printed singly or
layered over one another to create a more experimental work!
This workshop is suitable for anyone aged from 10 – 100 and is a free event. We encourage
participants to experiment, have fun and create a number of different prints.
