Story Time and Art Session with Henry Martin, Nenagh Library, Saturday October 11th, 11am, FREE
How to Love the Whole World (A Story about Artist Agnes Martin) is the first children’s picture book by Nenagh author Henry Martin. Illustrated by Shelley Hampe, the book uses the art and life of the American painter as a way to introduce children to mindfulness and creativity. The official Irish book launch for this RTÉ Junior recommended book, this event includes a reading, book signing and art activities lead by the author. Children’s Books Ireland described the book as ‘an excellent tool for parents…to engage children in discussions about art, emotions and creativity.’
The event includes: a free limited edition postcard, bookmarks, and take-home activities.
For ages 5-10.
Henry Martin has previously written Agnes Martin: Pioneer, Painter, Icon and contributed to Great Women Artists and Great Women Painters, Irish Times and Art Newspaper.
