STEPPING OUT! – A creative shoe exhibition by Tipperary ETB Community Education Artists.
Stepping Out ; where art, craft and fantasy meet!
This exhibition is about up-cycling shoes in a flamboyant and creative manner by repurposing old textiles, plastics and discarded materials, through an array of mixed mediums.
The artists wanted to dismiss the functionality of the shoe and focus on their beauty by placing them in a gallery as sculptural pieces of art.
With focus on the relationship between art and fashion, this collection of shoe sculptures and artworks are supported by Tipperary ETB Community Education, created by student’s from their creative textile and art medium group’s.
This exhibition will also feature contributions and collaborations with local Nenagh Shoe Shops ; Melissa K, The Shoe Corner, and The Shoe Shop.
