Historically Ireland is known for making the tea, where drinking the tea is a lifestyle, it is said that Irish people drink the most tea per capita in the world? A collective group of textile's and acrylic artists tutored by Melissa Ryan and supported by Tipperary Community Education have come together to showcase a series of unique works relating to 'Time for Tea' inspiration.
Brigid Fest is a celebration of Brigid's Day, which has its origins in the Celtic festival of Imbolc. This festival symbolises the beginning of spring and honours Brigid, the Celtic goddess of crafts, learning, and fertility. In more recent times, Brigid has come to represent wisdom and strength, and it is these attributes that we aim to celebrate with a day of engaging activities.
This years Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival takes place from Saturday 27th October - Wednesday 31st October so make sure and mark those dates in your diary!
