School Workshops are being facilitated alongside the HeART of Gaza Exhibition. Here the students will have the opportunity to examine the artworks in depth. Rather than drawing generic symbols of solidarity, such as Palestinian flags, doves or rainbows, the students will be encouraged to engage with a particular child, artwork or theme from the exhibition.
HeART of Gaza grew out of a WhatsApp exchange of children's drawings between Mohammed Timraz (Gaza) and Féile Butler (Sligo). Images of soldiers, tanks and bleeding bodies, from artists as young as three, spurred on the friends to create the exhibition as a platform for the most voiceless, the most vulnerable and the most impacted in this genocide.
